Rear fender delete kit Vader 125
Hi guys, new here, have read quite a bit of good info here, helped me in assembly yesterday of my Vader.
Anyways, will a Grom rear fender delete kit work on a vader? Maybe there is another way to do it as well. Any tips, or kit that works that you guys could point me in the direction to would be great. Also, when installing a 17t sprocket, will I need to lengthen chain? Or is there enough adjustability with rear tire to compensate? Thanks! Last edited by Goody302; 04-28-2017 at 04:50 PM. I bought the vagabond fender eliminated kit off Amazon for $60. The 2 holes closer toward the battery line up good. The 2 towards the rear need to be drilled out. I used a 3/8 drill bit. It took a while but I got it to work. Also, there are plastic tabs the luggage rack or fender slip into. I can't remember which. You will need to cut them off because with the kit installed they push up on the spring for the seat latch and the seat won't lock. I installed a 16t sprocket and made it work. Some guy on YouTube installed a 17t and needed a longer chain.

Jrack, that 16t sprocket feel like significant difference? I would think it would 6-8MPH difference up top. I have both 16 and 17t here, so a 16t will suffice with no need for dif chain.

Yessir, stock chain and 16t helped gain 9 mph top. Highest I got before the sprocket was 47, hit 56 today. Rides so much better. Back road riding where the speed limit is 25 I can now cruise in 3rd gear no problem.
