Hi from NW Indiana
Hey guys. My name is James and I just picked up a Wildfire Dual Sport some kid couldn't get to run.
I need some advice on what to do with it. It wouldn't run so they started stripping it. All of the lights are gone. Every peice of plastic is busted and more than half of the bolts are missing. The gas cap is gone, ignition switch, and even the master cylinder is missing the little peice of glass that let's you inspect the fluid. However, I got it running and it runs great. All of the gears seem fine and it has plenty of pwer with no strange engine noises. So I'm at a crossroads. Should I finish parting it out, or can I find enough parts to put it back together? The thing I need most wil be the bolts. It's missing the bolt that goes through the clutch adjuster bracket. That seems like an odd size. Any suggestions? I will post pics when I figure out how. Thanks, James |

Welcome!
My opinion--part it out unless you want an off-road bike; the brand you bought, Wildfire, is out of business. Parts kind of, sort of, interchange with other brands, so it will be hit or miss. Then again, if you can find a non-running Wildfire, or at least one that looks like it, it couldn't hurt to try to fit the missing parts onto yours. Depends on how motivated you are. Do you have a photo of the bike? Both yours and perhaps a stock photo? That might jar some memories here! Case in point: If memory serves me, the bikes looked like the Lifan GY-2, and Lifan might have been the OEM for Wildfire, so keep an eye out for a GY-2
