I think you are the first, Ron. Please post a thorough review of this camera after you have a chance to experiment with it.

I was (still am) looking for a new camera for moto'vlogging.
I don't think the Ion has a receptacle to accept a remote ( in helmet ) microphone. I may be wrong. Like others said, be sure to let us know how you like it.

I looked at getting one of those. I went with a garmin virb instead. Main reason being a larger selection of mount types

tried it from a different computer. laptop had a Trojan horse virus messing me up.

The ION has different feature upgrades.
there are a lot of others that look like ions but they are branded something else. The ones i use i got on clearance from microcenter for 25 bucks. video and image stabilization is good enough and was able to find all kinds of mounting stuff on the internet or even walmart. The ones i have do not have a mic input, so i get a lot of wind noise. |

I may have to try one of those. Been using my phone for video, but it has limitations and is hard to hold.
