Cleveland Misfit in the Country (Video)
Had a chance to take my NTM Misfit from Cleveland Cycle Works out for a ride with some larger bikes in the countryside. All I had to do to keep up was keep my bike turning around 6k rpm, then I had enough power to move around at will. I am used to much larger bikes, but I really enjoy the things this bike does.

Thanks for the posting the nice report. It appeared to be a beautiful day for a ride.

Cool! Does your misfit have the CG motor? I think those are terrific.

yes, it's got the lifan cg motor. For what it is, I've been impressed. 55-60mph it feels like it's got life, and it's fairly smooth. I'm used to my kz900 @ 560lb., so I have to be careful not to twitch. I think I'll keep it and do some upgrades. I think it will benefit from them....

I'd love to try a KZ900. My Dad bought one new when I was a kid, and he still talks about it.
I'd love to follow your Misfit upgrades. Please show us pics as you make changes.

By today's standards, it's not that great (my son has a CB1000rr w 1070hp), but in it's day, there weren't many production bikes quicker. It's still cool, however, and it's got some real "grunt".....kind of like the old muscle cars... So far, I've had to change to front axle bearings (defective), and I'm about to replace the chain (supposed to be an issue). I've got a front fairing on the way that I think will be a cool addition, and I'm going to lop off that plastic rear fender...I really like this little bike, and enjoy the light weight.

I've chopped a few China rear fenders as well. I don't like how far down they hang.
I normally use an RK or a DID chain; the stockers are terrible.
