ATV riding at Juniper Sand Dune Wilderness with Linda
I think most of our country and Canada have been having a nice mild(ish) winter.
Miss Linda and I enjoyed a warm(ish) Sunday after church and hit the sand dunes for some ATV fun. She has no intrinsic mechanical aptitude  and continues to have a hard time figuring out the semi-automatic transmission but she did OK and did not hurt anything  . She had fun and continues to improve. I look forward to taking her again. I don't think she's dirt bike material.... Attempts to teach her on the XR100's have not been promising. Again no mechanical aptitude. May be a girl thing? :P She can't get hurt on an ATV so I think I'll stick with that for now.

Oh yes she can, but the risk will be minimized with your careful teaching. Mrs. Weldangrind is similarly suited to an ATV, rather than a dirt bike. That's despite being able to drive a standard transmission car. Odd. :?

I think it's fine if the ladies prefer four wheels to two wheels.

I'd feel better.
For two wheels she likes the back of the Gold Wing. That way I know she's safe and I can enjoy the ride also. At her usual maximum speed of about 9 MPH I'm not worried about her on the ATV.

She's good for that.
I was SO PROUD of her on Sunday out in the desert. My uptown girl actually peed behind a tumbleweed. No toilets in the Juniper Dunes Wilderness Area...
