Disabled & ride china atv

Anyone else Disabled and ride atv and what do You use it for. I use mine to ride lanes around fields to check crops. Also look for trespassers up to no good.

The ATV is a great invention for older or disabled people to enjoy offroading and get their farm type work done. As for the tresspassers, you can hose them down with that spray wand ;-)

Or add a rifle scabbord!

Welcome! How long have you had the bike, and how has it been holding up for you? How far do you ride her per day on average?

Yep the weed sprayer helps hide the hand canon 45-70 I usually carry. I have had this for just under 2 years. It says on plate on front it's suppose to be 124cc but I think it's only 107cc. The weight limit is 134 pounds but I think sprayer filled with 15 gallons probably takes care of that and I weight a tad over 350 pounds. Have not replaced any parts or has anything broken on it eather. I ride it over 5 miles when I ride it depends on how I feel. Had a 13 tooth sprocket on front and I changed that to a 12 tooth now I see they makem in 10 tooth so that will be next. They say the chains from factory is junk but I have only ever adjusted it once before I put the 12 tooth on. Im happy with it.

As much bad mouthing these get (Chinese bikes in general) it is interesting seeing one used in a most useful way, giving its owner the perfect workhorse, more so taking the initial cost into account. My guess is you saved well over a thousand, or $1500 bucks over a big brand quad, and does the same thing.

I got rid of my Honda recon that I bought new. It was a 2002 that I bought in 2001 and right away it had a recall for bad welds on the front rims after that I replace 1 spark plug no other problems even had original battery. The reason I got rid of it was I had a family member that rode it crazy carrying one of my grand kids. That family member now won't be seen on a china quad so that was a win win. 6 months before I bought this ATV I bought a taotao 150D for the wife She likes it also and a taotao 125D for the grand kids.

I have gotten to know the owner of a distributor out of Calif. called Excalibur Motorsports www.atv4usa.com who carry some of Tao Tao's quads. He told me that as far as Chinese brands go, Tao Tao is considered a solid, good quality, brand, especially with their scooter lineup. His only issue with them is financial--they sell their bikes to anyone and everyone who wants them for near wholesale pricing meaning that retailers are only saving a little more than someone showing up with a pickup and picking up a bike or two. Excalibur is in the same city as Tao Tao, so it is really easy to get bikes for their customers, mostly retailers, but the profit margins are minimal. I believe they have a better profit margin on the quads which is why Excalibur carries those.

Obviously, as you have come to find out--the benefit to you is a few low cost quads that are also high in quality (taking the Chinese part into account when using the term "quality").

the 125 F1 sells for about $1200.00 + tax in CANADA... The 150 sells for around $1500.00 + tax.... good deal for these... a good entry level atv.. parts are easy for these..... the worse thing for the 125 F1 is the 3 speed trans... kids & adults have to learn ... not to down shift from 3rd to 2nd at a high speed... they will take out 2 nd gear... unless they slow down to a reasonable speed before down shifting

I recommend that you do not go any smaller than a 12 tooth on the countershaft sprocket. Any smaller than 12 is a very tight radius for the chain.

Sorry no it's a Magnum Research BFR 10 inch 45-70 OK back to taotao`s 125 engines they use on there atv`s . Engine numbers is tzh157fmi it sounds like it should be a 125cc but cylinder is only 69mm tall with Honda 50 stud paturn.
