Hawk 250 shift linkage not engaging
Hello, I've just bought a Hawk 250 secondhand from someone, and the shift linkage/bottle opener looking device isn't properly engaging the detent/star gear to properly shift.
We thought we had fixed it, but I took it down the road and it just missed the detent again. Everything is tight, and looks exactly as it should. You can also see the PVC spacer I made next to the shift lever in attempt to pull the shift tab closer to the detent. It IS ENGAGING in the video, but again when riding, it just falls back off and grazes the detent/star gear. Any help is greatly appreciated. https://drive.google.com/drive/folde...NF?usp=sharing Last edited by Bamboozle146; 09-08-2021 at 01:02 AM. Reason: Updated links |

A couple of questions... Are all of the bolts pertaining to the shifter system tight? That being the pivot and the shift drum? Also, are all of the springs correctly installed and indexed? Everything looks good otherwise.
