lowering LF200GY
I'm looking at all the post i can't find and have not found lowering in here . is there a lowering link out there for our bikes . i know i can allways cut, space and reweld mine, but how much to add . just thinking some one already did the leg work ?

well no answers lets try it like this . the link from the swing arm on my bike is 3" center to center . anyone have something different ?

I don't know of anyone using a lowering link. Not that it can't be done.

I wonder if the link is a direct copy of a Honda or something similar. Can you provide a photo?

I made my gy6 lower by putting a shorter shock in it... Probably not the best solution, but it worked for me...

I like the idea of using a lowering link over a shorter shock, because you still benefit from full suspension travel.
recracer, when you say "cut, space and reweld", does that mean chopping out the middle of the existing link? If so, is it all steel? Does it have bearings in it?

ok i've done some rough measurements . center to center stock is 3" i removed the link and lowered the back till center to center was at 3 3/4 " so roughly 2 3/8 drop at 3/4 longer link . the link is steel 3/4 to 7/8 inch drop per 1/4 inch [imghttp://www.flickr.com/photos/9833593@N03/3879330283/http://<br />
