Holy heck, look at how thin those aluminum castings are on some of those swing arms. Either a serious engineering flaw, or very poor quality control on the materials or casting processes. Likely both.

Could also have something to do with corrosion of the aluminum, but I'm betting on Dan's analysis.
I won't be buying a GS anytime soon.
