So the first thing we did was clean it! It was pretty crusty, I hate dirty bikes (working or not) and the amount of green moss on it was pretty funny hence the name swamp thing.
This is after a 45 min drive in a total downpour which really got rid of a lot of the heavy dirt. Scrubed it down and found no oil leaks, frame cracks or any other little annoyances. It actually cleaned up pretty nice, that front fender though!!

Bent the rear break and the shifter. Notice the green, the whole bike was covered in that.

Makes ya wonder. Sometimes it looks like people actually have to TRY to do some of this type of damage. Got the balance shaft motor!

I wouldn't do anything or spend any cash until I heard the bike run .If it runs alright ,then I would start fixing the rest of it up .
You can soak that carb in some pine sol ,it's cheap and works really well .Carb cleaners are not what they used to be . |

Started cleaning the carb and looking for a rebuild kit then I stumbled across a carb on ebay $18.00 free shipping SOLD! So what the heck I like easy, so much for cleaning and rebuilding. This one was really corroded though so probably better off, never seen one with the white chalky stuff so bad. Maybe it the aluminium oxidizing or something?
Also found my choke cable. Getting closer to starting this thing.

That was a hard 1200 mile life it lived before it died. Hope you will be able to resurrect it.

Seriously though, right? Makes you wonder about some people. I even double checked and that odometer is still working so I'm pretty confident that's the true mileage.
