Kill Switch Question
My kill switch has broken, it consists of 2 wires, will the bike operate (be on) when the wires connect or when the connection is broken. It's a Zongshen 250gs
thanks in advance |

Usually the switch will connect the terminals when activated, so it should run with an open circut. Easy to experement and figure out though.

thanks,...normally it should be easy but I'm dealing with other issues so I want to make sure the kill switch is right before I experiment with the others, experimentation is easy but 2 experiments which depend on each other can be counter-productive, lol, really appreciate it though.

FastDoc is right;
On a typical 5-wire setup the kill switch grounds one of the CDI module pins when activated, it should be an open circuit when running. I have yet to see an actual manufacturer wiring schematic and this is based on just what I have seen - your mileage may vary. |
