I sure got the blues this morning babe. . .
Not being able to ride my glorious Hawk 250 is starting to bring me down. The trails by the river are still too muddy for my ample posterior, and it's colder than a witch's teat outside. I am going to take this time to reflect on all the money I intend to keep dumping into my Hawk 250 when spring comes: a new rear rim, a nitrous injection for the jet fuel turbine attachment, and perhaps a rear tire and tube (to contain the horses).

What's wrong with the wheel?
I just fixed my rear wheel. It was way cheaper than buying a new one, but it depends on the problem. Mine was 3 spokes gone on the sprocket side and 1 on the rotor side with the wheel aout of round laterally.

A spoke ripped out of the rim. I plugged the hole with JB weld so the tube wouldn't bulge out. It rides fine but I am afraid to go on my 100+ mile rides with it like this so going to fix it after the weather warms.

There's enough rain and snow out there to make the trails cold and muddy. My car sits out in the elements because I keep the bikes in the garage so I am forced to see them every time I go into the cold garage.
Worse, I finally found a deal on an awesome 2 stroke motocross bike but all I can do is look at it, which is exciting, but not exactly fun Yeah. Winter blues. Enjoy that TV!

I was dreading the task as I had zero experience with the tire change process and never messed with spokes before, ever. I just accepted that I had to figure it out just like every other part of this bike. 50 bucks in tools and parts or 200 for a new wheel of the same questionable quality. Or more $ for a known quality that may or may not fit.
