Shipping/Import Interruptions
So I follow a lot of news, and it appears that they are predicting further issues with freight shipping, container shipping, import processes, and manpower related to all of the above. Worker shortages are increasing. I wonder what this may mean in the near future for us purchasing more bikes.
Everything running smoothly for you all? Been thinking of pulling the trigger on an x22r in the future, but this may make me do it sooner rather than later.

I think it means hurry up and get your bike now.
The semiconductor chip shortages that are hobbling the automotive industry are predicted to last until 2023. Bottom line is get it now or get it used. Or take good care of what you’ve got.

I wonder how much of this is just FUD to try and get people to spend money now?
At my work we've had 0 problem getting computer components and chips. Only issue for us was one supplier couldn't produce enough RFID tags due to worker shortage, so we switched to another supplier. I've purchased a lot of computer components over the past couple of years, prices have been fairly stable. The huge drops in SSD and memory prices we saw years ago seem to have stopped or at least slowed however that's more likely a correction. My wife orders things from China every few months, no problems and lately shipping times for her have dropped.. maybe just luck there. From what I can tell there are a lot of bikes already at distributors, sure you can't get some models however that was the case before covid the importers don't always predict demand well. Sure, if you want a bike and it's in stock now... might make sense to pull the trigger vs. waiting... |

Chip shortage,..worker shortage,..and "just in time" parts suppliers/shortages has definitely hurt our Honda Car dealership new-vehicle inventory. Where we would in the past normally have 60 to 75 new vehicles on the lot,...last week we were down to 1 Pilot...this week back up to a total of 4 new vehicles.....and thats the way it has been for 6 to 8 months or so...

China's plan. Stop the greatest economy the world has ever seen. We all know how they did that. Help FJB be appointed to keep coming up with the most damaging policies imaginable. Going to get worse. What happens when the farmer goes to get parts for his tractor? Sorry no parts.
