Convert Carb to EFI - What One Needs
Okay, first of all, for those who gonna say "play with the jets", "carb is simpler", and things like that, I would like to thank you for your opinions, and I appreciate it.
For me, EFI is much simpler than carburetor because of much lesser moving parts of the former and the ease of use (no mysterious jets!) For the purpose of this discussion, I would like your help to list the items needed for one to convert carburetted RX3 (prevalent in most of South East Asia nations, except for Thailand), to an EFI-equipped RX3. And hopefully these items are easy to find at TaoBao. 1. EFI complete wiring. 2. Fuel pump. 3. New fuel tank that can accommodate the fuel pump. 4. Oxygen sensor. 5. Fuel injector. 6. ECU. 7. Rectifier. 8. EFI Throttle body. Anything else I missed?

A few things come to mind
1/ Thermostat housing, the EFI housing comes with 2 sensors, one for the temp gauge and the other is used by the ECU. 2/ I think the Ignition coil is different (2 pin connector) 3/ possibly a different throttle cable. 4/ Fuel pump relay, if it doesn't come with the EFI wiring 5/ Exhaust header pipe with the fitting for the O2 sensor I think I have seen most of what you need on TaoBao Good luck, I hope your conversion goes well |

Good find on that EFI kit. I notice that the kit is for 150cc, not sure it will be the same for the 250.

Slightly bigger Injector, Fuel Pump and Throttle Body is all that will change for bigger cc bikes

Just keep the points gap on the low side of the spec, that increases effective dwell.

To my aged eyes the photos posted look exactly the same...for 100cc, 150cc, etc. A close look at the cables shows they are coiled in exactly the same way. I would not trust the photos posted. With that said, if you can convert to EFI for $299 that's a screaming good deal and maybe worth taking a chance on. My one experience with Taobaotrends was very positive.
