Hawk 250 idles normal then immediately quits when the clutch is released in first
Hey guys, you may remember me as the guy who had his bike running at full throttle. I'm back with an issue that only started recently
This time, its an issue with my bike quitting whenever I try to get out of neutral. As long as I open the throttle every few seconds in neutral it'll idle like normal, if I don't do this it'll shut off after a while. On top of this whenever I shift into first and let go of the clutch, the bike inches forward but then immediately quits. Last time I had this problem I solved it myself, an air leak at the carb was the issue... but this time there is no air leak. I have no idea where to start Thanks for any help |

I second the idle mixture needing to be adjusted as well as possibly your idle speed may be too low. Idle speed should be around 1500rpm.
To adjust either the engine needs to be up to operating temp, but to get you started it might help to bump up the idle speed to keep it running and ride it around or a good 5-10 minutes and then adjust from there.

After getting that sorted, you probably need to work on your technique, slowly feeding the throttle and gently releasing the clutch is normal for smaller displacement bikes.
