Crying BIKE STOLEN Las Vegas

My 2016 RPS Magician was stolen in broad daylight this morning while I was at work. The VIN# L0WHDNM29G1001073.
The police won't look for it because I only had hand written bill of sale and Manufacturers certificate of origin. I thought stolen property was stolen property. I won't have the money to get another one so thanks for all the help from people here and take a ride for me. I'm really going to miss it.

Google it. But also...

https://www.gofundme.com/

I guess this forum might be too small to do it, but it works out pretty well on other forums. I’d donate. I’d also donate to hunting down the thieves. Ha ha.

What’s the gap between what you can afford and how much a replacement bike (even used) would cost? How short are you? Make a GoFundMe for that amount and maybe, just maybe, people will help. I’d donate. I’ve had my snowboard stolen when I was very young and very broke, costing me a whole season of snowboarding. I get how this feels.

Somebody tag MegaDan! We did a fundraiser for him a while back, same thing happened to him! Theft is theft, and the cops are earning all the bad press one interaction at a time. What's the point of paying them if they're just not interested in righting the wrongs? That's a soapbox for a different day, though. Try to get in touch with MegaDan and bring the moderators on board to see how they set up the same thing for him. I'm in!

I really appreciate the support. I have to keep telling myself don't go vigilante with my AR-15. As far as the gap between what I have and need. I could probably come up with about $400 uncomfortably (ramen for a month or so...). The only theft deterrent was the front wheel locked. I left my house for work at 8:30am, returned home at 1pm and it was gone. My insurance company listed it as stolen in their databases, and I filed a grand larceny police report since they wouldn't list it as a motor vehicle so at least I have it reported stolen now. I'm still kind of in shock, and really really pissed off. Want to hunt them down.

Wait a minute. I also read this again just now.

Neighbors!

Does anyone have any idea who came by to get your bike? Maybe a Ring doorbell too? Their own security cams that might catch a license plate?

Just some other thoughts.

neighbors

I appreciate all the suggestions please keep them coming.
I did speak to the neighbors. Nobody saw anything of course.
The complex has cameras on the entrance gate, but, they wont release the footage without the police requesting it.

Wow. I have to say... between those cops and the complex management, definitely your share of a holes around. Wow.

rejected

I just got an email from metro police. They rejected my report. It says I have to go in to the police department to file. Like they would find it anyways. No wonder people are so down on the police

Can't say I'm really that surprised. I lived in North Las Vegas for a couple years, and I was never very impressed with what passed for police work out there...

So sorry to hear that! Your anger is understandable. Don't mess up your life for a thief though! They'll get what they deserve, keep on doing what's right.

Can you post a pic of the bike? My son lives in Vegas and is a realtor and drives around a lot with his work as you might imagine. I could send him a pic and tell him to keep his eyes peeled for the Magician. You never know what may happen.

Someone stole a 5 year old Magician?

Such a person is truly a danger to society.
