Afternoon Nature Tour

It was a real nice afternoon and I had to take advantage so I took a ride around to some local natural areas.

That looks a lot like my Hawk, only mine is not a DLX. I give credit were credit is due, and I must say that's a brilliant idea, carrying a skateboard, in case of a flat , just pull the flat tire up on the skate board, and away you go, of course it may require pushing if it's the rear that's flat, but at least you could still ride in style going down hills. LOL

And yet the board is missing in all the other ride pics... This guy is suspicious fellas!

Wish it wasn't so dang hot down here in Missouri, I'm itching for more riding, preferably without sweating myself completely to death

I've wanted to get onto the trails again for a while. First it was chiggers and ticks, now it is humid and hot. But Fall is coming!

84 today, which isn't that bad, but I have the utility trailer in the garage (cooler than outside!). Just finished welding a swing-away jack mount to it, and now I am greasing the bearings. I need more soil and paving base!

I think yesterday's high was around 79-80. It was definitely humid and heavy rains broke loose later in the day. I was on alot of shady back roads and down in the creek gorge amongst the rocks it was noticeably cooler.

Lol ..I left it at work by mistake on Friday. I do make exceptions these days when it comes to the board and the bike due to limited carrying capacity, unless of course, I intend to use the board on the outing.

Question is, do you ride to skate or do you skate to ride? Them's a thinker there.

A buddy and I took a ride today. He's got a TT250. We rode about a 45mile loop 60/40 paved/dirt roads.

It was near 60° today. Had to ride. I rode through 2 state parks and miles of back roads in between. Wish I could have taken some more pictures, but due to the weather, everyone else was out too and it was near impossible to get a shot without Randos getting in the way.

Too nice to stay at work today, so I cut out early, got a couple things done then went for a ride. Fortunately, a few miles in any direction takes me somewhere scenic.

Got a ride in today. Stopped at this bridge on Kennedy Rd, in McConnells Mill State Park.
