Black Mystery Plates RPS ASSEMBLY

Potentially dumb question here:

I just built a Magician. In the box with the reflectors and bar guard was two black painted steel plates.

What are these for? Is my bike going to catch fire and fall apart without them?

Thanks.

Better pack a fire extinguisher, just in case.
I have no idea what those are for.

All of the workers at the ZONG factory are getting their April fools joke a bit late now.

They threw those in 2 confuse you.

"Lets see if he posts pictures on the builder forum" they may have even placed bets...

they mount between wheel and front fender,(one on each side) since you didn't use them you might notice some paint flaking on fender now

Those are your wheels. Start with some coarse sandpaper and work on them until they are round.

I can understand the confusion. They are stiffeners for the fender. They are needed. The front fender is not stiff enough for offroad or highway speeds without them.

Look at where you have the fender bolted in now. you see the bolts? Take them out on one side. Place the plate with the holes down and line up the bolt holes. Rebolt in fender with bolts. repeat on other side.

I know the plastics look unpainted but all the magicians I have seen are.

find two bolt holes spaced that distance apart and it may narrow it down.

I work in manufacturing, you don't just throw in two machined painted steel plates without a clear point... Unless its coming from China!

My only thought have been you can substitute them out for the passenger foot pegs, but that makes no sense.

Any who thanks for the help!

I'm still scratching my head trying to figure out where they could possibly go. And there's nothing like that on a the Hawk either.

It was a four year wait, but your first post was a good one.
