Bringing the TT250 up to speed
Hey Guys,
After looking for a while, I found a 2016 CSC TT250 for sale in my area. With 5 miles on the odometer, the $800 was worth the risk to buy the bike even though it wouldn't start. Its been sitting for 2 years in a garage, so help point me in the right directions for a couple of parts that will fit the TT250. 1. The float needle valve needs to be replaced and I'd like to try the Pumper Carbs. Anyone have a link to a pumper carb that fits the TT250? Seems like PZ30 would work, but I'm not too familiar with carbs to know for sure if it would. 2. Skid plates - Does anyone make a skid plate that fits these bikes? Thanks |

Regarding the pumper:

Not so sure a pumper carb will make much difference unless there’s some mods to make it breathe better. I’d pop the bowl off and clean it, get it running before your committed to a new carb.
CSC does a skid plate. It’s easy to repurpose a cutting board and 3 stainless unbolt and roll your own if your looking for a project. I had thought about the CSC plate but I’m really liking this plastic plate.

Welcome aboard!
I would just clean up the existing carb. Check and see what size jet It has in it. May need to change out to a little larger jet. If you decide to change carb I would go with the Nibbi PE30. CSC sells an aluminum skid plate for the TT250. https://store.cscmotorcycles.com/TT2...p/csc-1109.htm

Hello,
Great deal at $800! You will not be disappointed. I just got a TT250. The previous owner upgraded to the stainless steel exhaust (which I guess is more free flowing) and replaced the carb with a 30mm KOSO KSR flat-slide. This is a knock-off of the Kehin PKW. Works great. Go to the CSC Motorcycles site for lots of parts. Their prices are reasonable, especially for stock parts, and you will get them in a couple of days. They also have a full manual and maintenance tutorials (the manual broken into topics) so you can do pretty much everything yourself. Any questions, just send them an e-mail and they will get right back to you right away. See my post under Videos/Photos for all the stuff I have done. I may re-post this under Dual Sport. Goob |
