Slow Train Coming
Sometimes I feel so low-down and disgusted Can't help but wonder what's happening to my companions Are they lost or are they found, have they counted the cost it'll take to bring down All their earthly principles they're gonna have to abandon ? There's slow, slow train coming up around the bend. I had a woman down in Alabama She was a backwoods girl, but she sure was realistic She said, Boy, without a doubt, have to quit your mess and straighten out You could die down here, be just another accident statistic There's slow, slow train coming up around the bend. All that foreign oil controlling American soil Look around you, it's just bound to make you embarrassed Sheiks walking around like kings, wearing fancy jewels and nose rings Deciding America's future from Amsterdam and to Paris And there's slow, slow train coming up around the bend. Man's ego is inflated, his laws are outdated, they don't apply no more You can't rely no more to be standing around waiting In the home of the brave, Jefferson turning over in his grave Fools glorifying themselves, trying to manipulate Satan And there's slow, slow train coming up around the bend. Big-time negotiators, false healers and woman haters Masters of the bluff and masters of the proposition But the enemy I see wears a cloak of decency All non-believers and men stealers talking in the name of religion And there's slow, there's slow train coming up around the bend. People starving and thirsting, grain elevators are bursting Oh, you know it costs more to store the food than it do to give it They say loose your inhibitions, follow your own ambitions They talk about a life of brotherly love, show me someone who knows how to live it There's slow, slow train coming up around the bend. Well, my baby went to Illinois with some bad-talking boy she could destroy A real suicide case, but there was nothing I could do to stop it I don't care about economy, I don't care about astronomy But it's sure do bother me to see my loved ones turning into puppets There's slow, slow train coming up around the bend.

Thank you, brothers. Indeed, Bob Dylan is very gifted writer and entertainer. The lyrics of that song are very thought provoking. I thought the photos matched the music. Surely we are in the end times prophesied by the Lord Jesus Christ.

The sooner the better Brother.
My bags are packed. I just hope there is internal combustion in Heaven, and Bernoulli's Principle still applies.

"You may be an ambassador to England or France
You may like to gamble, you might like to dance You may be the heavyweight champion of the world You may be a socialite with a long string of pearls But you’re gonna have to serve somebody, yes indeed You’re gonna have to serve somebody Well, it may be the devil or it may be the Lord But you’re gonna have to serve somebody You might be a rock ’n’ roll addict prancing on the stage You might have drugs at your command, women in a cage You may be a businessman or some high-degree thief They may call you Doctor or they may call you Chief But you’re gonna have to serve somebody, yes indeed You’re gonna have to serve somebody Well, it may be the devil or it may be the Lord But you’re gonna have to serve somebody You may be a state trooper, you might be a young Turk You may be the head of some big TV network You may be rich or poor, you may be blind or lame You may be living in another country under another name But you’re gonna have to serve somebody, yes indeed You’re gonna have to serve somebody Well, it may be the devil or it may be the Lord But you’re gonna have to serve somebody You may be a construction worker working on a home You may be living in a mansion or you might live in a dome You might own guns and you might even own tanks You might be somebody’s landlord, you might even own banks But you’re gonna have to serve somebody, yes indeed You’re gonna have to serve somebody Well, it may be the devil or it may be the Lord But you’re gonna have to serve somebody You may be a preacher with your spiritual pride You may be a city councilman taking bribes on the side You may be workin’ in a barbershop, you may know how to cut hair You may be somebody’s mistress, may be somebody’s heir But you’re gonna have to serve somebody, yes indeed You’re gonna have to serve somebody Well, it may be the devil or it may be the Lord But you’re gonna have to serve somebody Might like to wear cotton, might like to wear silk Might like to drink whiskey, might like to drink milk You might like to eat caviar, you might like to eat bread You may be sleeping on the floor, sleeping in a king-sized bed But you’re gonna have to serve somebody, yes indeed You’re gonna have to serve somebody Well, it may be the devil or it may be the Lord But you’re gonna have to serve somebody You may call me Terry, you may call me Timmy You may call me Bobby, you may call me Zimmy You may call me R.J., you may call me Ray You may call me anything but no matter what you say You’re gonna have to serve somebody, yes indeed You’re gonna have to serve somebody Well, it may be the devil or it may be the Lord But you’re gonna have to serve somebody." Bob Dylan knows things and he knows how to communicate complex thoughts through seemingly simple verse. He stars in, and I believe wrote, a movie I am watching. Masked And Anonymous. I think it's too weird to recommend but quite interesting and the music is great. Read more: http://www.bobdylan.com/us/songs/got...#ixzz2k5vh8Lv4

"You may call me Bobby, you may call me Zimmy."
Robert Zimmerman references himself as one who will also have to serve somebody.

I just did a little reading about the author's religious views.
It is hard to say what he believes (who's to say what anyone believes?), but his religious background fro Orthodox Judiasm to Christianity parallels my own. I'll have to look into it more when I get a chance.

Bob Dylan is a poet.
"Property Of Jesus" Go ahead and talk about him because he makes you doubt Because he has denied himself the things that you can't live without Laugh at him behind his back just like the others do Remind him of what he used to be when he comes walking through. He's the property of Jesus Resent him to the bone You got something better You've got a heart of stone. Stop your conversation when he passes on the street Hope he falls upon himself, oh, won't that be sweet Because he can't be exploited by superstition anymore Because he can't be bribed or bought by the things that you adore. He's the property of Jesus Resent him to the bone You got something better You've got a heart of stone. When the whip that's keeping you in line doesn't make him jump Say he's hard-of-hearing, say that he's a chump Say he's out of step with reality as you try to test his nerve Because he doesn't pay tribute to the king that you serve. He's the property of Jesus Resent him to the bone You got something better You've got a heart of stone. Say that he's a loser 'cause he got no common sense Because he don't increase his worth at someone else's expense Because he's not afraid of trying, say he's got no style 'Cause he doesn't tell you jokes or fairy tales, say things that make you smile. He's the property of Jesus Resent him to the bone You got something better You've got a heart of stone. You can laugh at salvation, you can play Olympic games You think that when you rest at last you'll go back from where you came But you're picked up quite a story and you've changed since the womb What happened to the real you, you've been captured but by whom ? He's the property of Jesus Resent him to the bone You got something better You've got a heart of stone.

Here is more poetry by Bob Dylan.
I Believe In You They ask me how I feel And if my love is real And how I know I’ll make it through And they, they look at me and frown They’d like to drive me from this town They don’t want me around ’Cause I believe in you They show me to the door They say don’t come back no more ’Cause I don’t be like they’d like me to And I walk out on my own A thousand miles from home But I don’t feel alone ’Cause I believe in you I believe in you even through the tears and the laughter I believe in you even though we be apart I believe in you even on the morning after Oh, when the dawn is nearing Oh, when the night is disappearing Oh, this feeling is still here in my heart Don’t let me drift too far Keep me where you are Where I will always be renewed And that which you’ve given me today Is worth more than I could pay And no matter what they say I believe in you I believe in you when winter turns to summer I believe in you when white turns to black I believe in you even though I be outnumbered Oh, though the earth may shake me Oh, though my friends forsake me Oh, even that couldn’t make me go back Don’t let me change my heart Keep me set apart From all the plans they do pursue And I, I don’t mind the pain Don’t mind the driving rain I know I will sustain ’Cause I believe in you

Bob's music testifies his conversion was sincere. Here's another one of his songs.
In the Summertime I was in your presence for an hour or so Or was it a day? I truly don’t know Where the sun never set, where the trees hung low By that soft and shining sea Did you respect me for what I did Or for what I didn’t do, or for keeping it hid? Did I lose my mind when I tried to get rid Of everything you see? In the summertime, ah in the summertime In the summertime, when you were with me I got the heart and you got the blood We cut through iron and we cut through mud Then came the warnin’ that was before the flood That set everybody free Fools they made a mock of sin Our loyalty they tried to win But you were closer to me than my next of kin When they didn’t want to know or see In the summertime, ah in the summertime In the summertime when you were with me Strangers, they meddled in our affairs Poverty and shame was theirs But all that sufferin’ was not to be compared With the glory that is to be And I’m still carrying the gift you gave It’s a part of me now, it’s been cherished and saved It’ll be with me unto the grave And then unto eternity In the summertime, ah in the summertime In the summertime when you were with me

You are right Brother Spud, his music is his testimony.
I looked at the Rolling Stone interviews that made his faith seem like a minor side note of questionable significance. In one interview he states that he finds the Word in music. That seems like how he shares it as well. My suspicion is that the Rolling Stone interviews were biased against the Word. Who'd have thought? ......

Mr. Zimmerman is currently at the top of the list of living people I'd like to have a beer with.
Benjamin Franklin is at the top of the list of passed people I'd like to share a beer with.
