Coleman CT200U
Well my neighbor has done it again and trash picked one of those coleman mini bikes off the curb.
Carb was partially dismantled and destroyed, we got it to run with a cheap Amazon carb and airbox. It has a weird problem taking off tho, and I think it might have to do with the throttle linkage, which runs (to me) in a very weird way, into one lever, which links via a spring down to some sort of governor arm coming out of the motor's case, then via a rod back over to the carb (butterfly type, not a slide carb as I am used to). When you throttle it up it will start to go, just a little bit, but then stall out. If you hold the rear off the ground it seems to be able to spin the tire just fine, it just can't take off with one of us on it. Anyone work on one of these? Or have any suggestions? I haven't worked on such small pull start motors very much. |

There are quite a few YouTube videos in THIS THREAD that may help you out.
Post #9 in that thread has a clickable link to a video on how to bypass the governor, if you have to go that route. |
