Cheap chinese screws.
So yesterday I was changing the brake fluid to try and increase the typing power of the front brake that seems weak to me and while trying to remove the cover one of the screw he's stripped. I ended up drilling the head off and now the threads are stuck down in the brake. I do not really want to mess with drilling it out and possibly re tapping it so does anyone see a reason this part wouldn't work. http://www.amazon.com/Universal-Moto...aster+cylinder

Yep... Some of them are good, some are made of a butter-like substance. I have one buried in my X-Moto's fork where the mud guard is supposed to live. Good luck.... Hopefully you can get a tiny pick and spin it out.

I can't help with the brake reservoir, but I am curious if the screw heads on the Chinese bikes are JIS screws.
They look like phillips head but aren't. It's very common for them to strip out on Japanese bikes, like my TW200 and DR650. Does anyone know if they are the JIS screws? jb

Cheap Available Parts
Ya know....the one upside of this whole problem is that parts are dirt cheap and readily available on places such as Amazon now. I've been doing a bunch of nosing around since the TT250 is coming and it's amazing to me what's now available on "main stream" sites for our bikes that was never there before. Boatloads of parts....dirt cheap, compared to if we had to walk into a Japanese dealership and purchase over the counter.

The cheap screwdriver bit in the tool set fits much better than any "quality" Phillips bit, simply because the screws have JIS slots.
It's like Pozidrive and Phillips. I've got a HOZAN JIS scredriver set: http://www.amazon.com/Hozan-JIS-4-JI.../dp/B00A7WAHTU |

For the jap screws I grind the very point off the screw driver so the tip goes deeper in the screw, works for me!

Yeah when it first tasted stripping I tried hammering the screwdriver in and even the old duct tape trick but it just shredded the screw anyway.

The shape of the jap screws are different. Once they start stripping there is not much that can be done. All you have to do to see what I am talking about is to take a unmolested screw in your fingers and set it on a philips tip, on the sides you will be able to see they are not fully engaging each other. If you remove the very point the sides will get contact.

If I can't get a screw out with an extractor or other means I drill it out and use a tap a die set so that I use a normal screw with a normal pitch. What do you have to loose? Some of these Chinese screws have the strangest pitches and finding a replacement screw is making one. You can go down that route but the next time your in the same place. The kit you linked to should work and It's coming from China. If you want some more style. http://www.ebay.com/itm/182009317036
