tbr7 sprocket ratios??
I purchased a tbr7. Im mostly riding on road so i need more top end. ive got mikuni knockoff with 115 main, open cone shaped filter, ebay special exhaust, and i ported the intake, ported and polished exhaust. Ive noticed most people run a 17 tooth front sprocket with a 42 tooth rear sprocket for on road use. Well my dilemma is Amazon is fresh out of 42 tooth sprockets. I was wondering if going down to a 16 tooth front sprocket and down to a 40 tooth rear would be suffice? I know that the ratio for 17/42 turns out to be 2.47and some change to 1 and a 16/40 comes out 2.5 to 1 ratio. Would that 0.03 make much of a difference?

.03:1 is not enough to notice. Effectively it is the same gear ratio, so if that is your option, go for it.
