You can put any headlight you want on there. Might have to rig up you own brackets or some kind of fork tube mount depending on the light you want to use. A round coversion will likely be the easiest.

It may well be that the easiest conversion is to a round one with mounting holes on the sides. The mounting tabs, that clamp on the fork tubes, are available on e-bay, amongst other places....ARH

avoid cheap assemblies as the optics in the lens and reflectors will not be good (much like the stock assy.)
a standard 5" or 7" round works, BUT (as i learned the hard way) be sure to mount low enough for a 1/2" of free space between the headlight bucket and the ignition switch lower housing (which has plastic tabs that can easily break)

ubiquitous parts, many resources, search for 7" headlight bucket and bracket
this will be a headlight and mount like an old-school UJM the bracket attaches to your forks between the upper and lower triple-trees (fork removal not required) the sides of the bucket have threaded bosses to attach onto the brackets your wiring will tuck into the bucket the stock Hawk forks are kinda slim, so be sure to have flexible shim stock on hand if the brackets don't cinch up

If I had the choice, I would use sections of rubber hose as shims for a fork mount. Much better at isolating vibrations. It just really depends on how big of a gap we are talking though.
