First Problem with the bike and more beach pics

I got my first problem with the bike. The factory had warned me about this possibly being an issue with the plastic gas tank and the paint they used to paint it. I guess the tank doesn't like the paint very much and has started to bubble and flake off in one spot. The factory also said that if this is a problem they will send me a new tank with new paint(different cemical make-up) as they're still looking for the right combo. The side pannels and fenders have no issues.

If I did get the red and black bike this wouldn't be a problem because it uses colour infused plastics.

Here are some more pics of the bike from the beach trip today. We used our trip to test the new small soft bags.

At least it is only cosmetic...I personally would scotch brite the tank and paint on some fresh camo...But I do not live in the same time zone as the factory...lol

I really like this one:

About the tank, I remember some people who painted their lifan tank side panels having the same issue, I think because the gas sort of vents through the plastic tank, and that caused the paint to bubble, when they got the paint right though it was fine... Good luck with the new tank.

Yeah Moose, this bike can be had with a 250. Shineray is also going to relaease a dirt only bike soon with a wated cooled 250 dohc and six speed tranny.

Still no word on when it'll make it into a street bike.

That's not the sad it is the beach. It's a big, big beach and the wide angle lens streches it out a bit. It is about 300m from tree line to shore.

We're going to be camping on the beach next Saturday

This is from something being under the paint or the paint not adhearing to plastic correctly. Bike builders have had this problem with plastics for a long time. Hense the use of coloured plastics. The factory is still trying to fix the problem with this model.

The tank is 21L or 5.6 us gallons

You'd think some dealer would have heard all the buzz this bike caused and try to get some. They'd sell every bike they brought ashore the instant word got out. I keep putting off buying a bike until I hear if this one can be had. Especially in a 250!
Hello? Hot cakes anyone?

I think we would have seen these already in the US if the bike was EPA certified (for "off-road only" ) or EPA/DOT for 49 states (Kalifeinsteins need not apply!). Suprignet, find out when they will at least make it to North America (Canada/US/Mexico)

Dual rear shocks? Wow shades of a 70's dirt bike.
