Yikes! I am sorry to hear that. I was hoping Tank Sports would be around to continue to support the fine Redcat motorcycles they had inherited. :(

Lot of flux in the market due to the economy. On the one hand you'd think the poor economy would promote cheap bikes for transportation or fun. On the other hand it's an 'unnecessary' expense in some ways. Also, poor promotion and consistancy on the distributor's part I think is the biggest factor.

Americans haven't really embraced bikes and scooters as a mode of transportation. Most think of them as toys.
I think that as our fuel cost begins to climb again and people still not working that the scooters will come back. Allen

A truck dealer near me bought four or five of the trikes and had a price of $9,995 and I still see 4 of them there. He had one with an enclosed box on it and I think he sold that one but the others just have the dumpbed.
I stopped and looked at them and took some pictures a year or so ago and they are nice with a full cab, heat and everything but he just couldnt sell them. People just arent spending money unless they are sure of what they are getting. Now the price is down to a tempting $5,950 if I had the cash I'd go in and offer $3,000-3500. I'd take one of those over a smart car  but I wonder if its licensed as a motorcycle would I need to where a helmet in it. |

I saw on another board that I am at that a dealer out there was at the Tank facility and says their Bank has locked them out of there buildings for failure to make there loan payment, and are liquidating there stock to secure cash.

I should be in the L.A. area in the next few weeks; I will see if I can get over to the Tank HQ and see what is going on...

It's a long thread but worth reading. It's not only a review but shows what i've went through trying to deal with Tank

I read your 24 page thread over there. Its a sad thing, but not uncommon. I own a Tank street bike and know how much trouble they can be.
