Air filter oil
My local motercycle shop only had k&n air filter oil..
The guy there said it should be ok on the moose filter, but I wanted to check with you guys first. Don't want to ruin a brand new filter.. |

Make sure the K&N filter oil doesn't contain alcohol. Alcohol will attack, and eventually destroy the glue seams on foam air filters.

I really like Maxima Fab1 filter spray. It's easy to see because it's blue, and it sticks like cobwebs.
I think I'd return the K&N stuff.

Well I'm to impatient.. Lol there are no other bike shops around me and I can't wait a week to order something else. Just got the pro circuit exhaust on and I'm dying to see how it with run with a fresh air filter. Guess we will see how it goes...
Thanks for the advice, Spud I looked up the contents of the oil online and from what I can tell (my nomenclature isn't that great) it does't contain alcohol.. Though I may by the end of the night lmao |

I like using the Belray Foam Air Filter Oil on my Zongshen air filters, because they are flat.
http://www.rockymountainatvmc.com/p/...Air-Filter-Oil However, I prefer using the No-Toil Evolution Air Filter Oil for the conical air filters in my Honda CRF250X and Honda XR650L. The No-Toil Evolution oil is much easier to distribute into the foam, and is exponentially easier to clean than regular, air filter oil. http://www.rockymountainatvmc.com/p/...Air-Filter-Oil

Some people use chainsaw, bar and chain oil. However, I'm convinced the foam air filter oils remain in place better, and better protect the intake valves and valve seats from dust ingested through the carburetor.

I agree. I also think the cylinder wall and piston is better protected.

If you have a flat, foam air filter, such as the one employed by my Zongshen 200GY-2, you can't beat the tackiness, price, or effectiveness of the Belray Foam Air Filter Oil.
However, if you need to oil, and clean, a conical air filter, you can't beat the convenience of the No-Toil Evolution filter oil.
