New Ice Bear 300cc scoot
Saw this good lookin maxi scoot on Texas Powrsports. Not cheap, but less than a SMAX and well over a grand less than the Forza.

My neighbor just picked up a 2004 Honda Reflex with ABS and less than 500 miles for $1600 about half the cost of the Ice Bear. Good deals on used bike are out there. I'd go with a used Honda. It's a much better investment for the long run.

I had a great experience with a used Zen 50 scooter, but I only paid $150 for it. I have seen Ice Bear products in person and they don't seem to be superior to any other cheap Chinese scooter out there.
This does look like a lot of scooter for the money, but I suspect this scooter is still a bit overpriced and resale value is going to be terrible. Go to the dealer and see it in person if you can.

That is a cool looking scoot! I'm too cheap to spend that kind of money on a chinese scooter, but I really do like the looks of it!
(plus in Canada it would probably be a grand more!) |

It is not on their site. I am guessing, however, it might be a 'Taotao'; the Taotao in which several online retailers call most every bike a 'Taotao'. I think I saw it on Cycle Trader where one retailer called all their bikes a Taotao, including a 'Taotao 250 enduro'

Only a few Chinese bikes are worth the price at or above $3k IMO. The Zongshen RX3 is one of them (sold by CSC), and the SSR XF250 is another. I would guess the SSR off-road only 250 and 450 MX bikes are a deal, as well. The maxi scooters? I doubt it! I don't think this will fall apart on you, but I do think you will be disappointed in something or another with it, because of the price. That is the beauty of Chinese bikes--the low price point...a $1k Taotao 150cc scooter is one thing, but a $3500 Ice Bear scooter is another.
For reference, search around for one of our members who bought a Ice Bear 300cc trike. He knew what he was getting into, and posted several posts about it, but I have not seen him post as of lately. That bike might be argued to be worth the money since no one ('big' brands) sells trike scooters, so you are paying for the novelty, but a two-wheeled scooter is another thing.

I checked it out (Ice Bear Trike Thread) and saw the link to the Vegas Trike Adv Video. I laughed a little because until recently I worked outside Vegas where that video was filmed; I actually pushed the owner of that company off the road once when one of his trikes died with less than 10 miles on the odometer. I saw his Ice Bear trikes get towed away somewhat regularly. In all fairness though, they were being run in extreme conditions and the company owner admittedly had zero mechanical knowledge.
