How many miles
I'm just curious how many miles everyone else has on their Hawks?Myself just over 500 miles only problem is the front brake thing that lights up the brake light.Has been giving me fits since day one.Q9 is sending me one free.I'd have more miles but have a few other toys I like to drive on nice days.

Just hit 1000 miles in the last 3 months, most of it in the last two. Nary a problem, at least not one that I didn't cause lol.

3422 indicated, works out to 2410 actual.
Stock except for a 17T front sprocket, and some simple mods to the PZ30 carb. No real problems, battery is getting flaky, need to keep it on a float charger. Tires are getting there, probably another 1k if I'm lucky. It also vapor locks occasionally when I'm sitting at a light, probably due to the heat coming off the cat and affecting the carb. Front headlight was flaky at first, no high beam, but that's settled down and I haven't noticed it in a long time. Other than that, it pretty much runs like a top - peaks out at about 62 GPS even with the 50T on the rear. Great little bike for farting around on. Almost forgot - the weld on the gas tank to the valve was crap, whoever did it over there didn't close the bead. The vibrations seemed to get to it around 1500 miles. So I did have to pull that, sand, and JB Weld it, but it's been holding since. That's about the biggest fault I've experienced since assembly. I got another round of mods I'm going to get to once the tires are truly shot and I've got to pull the axles anyway, but I'm a big believer in "if it ain't broke, don't fix it." To date, it really hasn't given me much trouble. (Beating on my wooden desk as I write this.) |

I racked up over 1600 on my Brozz before selling it. Actually, thats WHY I sold it. I was riding more than my rear end could handle on that bike. No problems at all in those miles.
