5th gear on my tbr7 “slips” ALOT!!
When I’m shifting to 5th gear it slips it happened at least five times today. I’m not sure what’s going on but it’s getting quite annoying and I really need to figure this out. Could it be the oil needs to be changed? Or the shifter readjusted? I’m not sure what to do and any input is appreciated.

Have you tried adjusting the clutch cable?

Should be enough slack in the clutch cable to fit a nickel in the gap it creates at the lever pivot.

Noticed that lately with my clutch, I can feel slit slips especially initially going into 5th and trying to accelerate. How many miles do you have on the friction plates?

Is it actually slipping or is it jumping out of 5th gear? What brand of engine oil are you using?

Def start with n oil change. Also might want to make sure your using oil that is wet cluth safe and check the clutch cable like the others said. Since its only in 5th the cables prob too lose or tight cant remember wichh just make sure the gap at the lever is correct.
