Engine vibration
Hi guys, my name is Misha, I'm new here, so here's the first question:
I recently bought a Peda 250ST 230cc. It has huge vibrations from the engine, like most Chinese ATV's. How can I reduce them, I thought about some kind of rubber in the engine mounts?? What rubber should I use and how should it look like? Thank you in advance and nice to meet you, hope you have an awesome day! |

If it's a CG motor, they're notoriously buzzy when new and that will get better with hours. Make sure your motor mounts are torqued properly. "Evenly" is far more important that "damn tight". They only torque to 18-22 ft lbs, respectively.

I agree that the rubber mounts would not work..... has anyone ever tried a small sheet of plastic... ??? like the puckboard stuff or what they use those snow sliders out of..??? would be interested in that..

Yeah there were smaller bolts on the front mount and they were a little loose, sadly i don't have a torque wrench with a meter so I don't really know how much I should tighten.

It is a single-cylinder engine hard-mounted in a light tubular steel frame. It is going to vibrate as long as it is running.
