I’ll get a few pictures today. right now it’s spaghetti wiring... first thing tho, I’ll pull off carbs. Inspect and clean. Then, start working on the wiring. Get the thing to crank, with spark. See where I can go from there!

If she runs, I’ll have to add to the fleet and update my signature, ☺️

Every time I run across a good project bike in good shape there's always that "No I don't have the title" statement. My first bike I owned was a 6 month old Honda CB200 that the previous owner had completely disassemble the engine because it had a broken selector plate for the shift. He definitely wasn't a mechanic lol The guy told me if I wanted I could have it then handed me a box of engine parts and handed over the title. I had that thing put together and running the next day.

Those are sweet old bikes; something about the sound is very appealing.

Yes, they are neat old bikes. I guess they caught on and sold like hotcakes back in their time. Suzuki must have gotten it right. I never had a GS but my dad had a GS1000 and rode it from Alaska and back a few times.

Price on this one was also, 0$.

Picture this: slightly modified GS550 Dual Sport. That’s my vision.

That is actually really sweet. I’m 55 tho and married. I can’t see myself zipping around on that. First of all, would need ibuprofen after every ride, and second, the cougars already attack me because of my Boxster... my wife says it’s dangerous leaving me in it in the parking lot... cute car and wife’s cute tiny dog... the upside is, no cougar could fit on the back of that thing. And I could out run them!
