What is a Honda CG? and its relation to Zongshen?
OK, I figure the Zongshens 230cc motor is a knock off of a Honda cg, but I can't find anything on a Honda cg, except that Honda made a 125cc called a CG, is that what you guys are referring too?

We don't see the original Honda CG bikes here in the US because they weren't imported, but they are ubiquitous in developing countries. Honda still makes and sells the 125cc and 150cc in many countries but most CG bikes are now made by other companies. Zongshen is one of many companies that make the CG engines nowadays.

The CG125 was made for emerging markets like Brazil. They are still in use in Brazil, Argentina, among others.
From Honda, you will find them in either 125 or 150, the 150 is just an overbored 125. They are being used in the "New Titan 150" and the "XR 150" this one is made in China, assambled in Brazil and sold in South America, Central America and i think Mexico The chinese sells the 125, the overbored 150 and a 190 version. The 190 being sold as "200cc" the 190 is prone to crack the piston..... These type of "conversion Kits" to bring Honda CG150 to 190 are all over the place in South America. http://articulo.mercadolibre.com.ar/...cg-titan-_JM#D[S:VIP,L:SELLER_ITEMS,V:3] |
