Is the TBR7 odometer wildly inaccurate?

Hey folks,

I recently received my TBR7 and have ridden it for maybe 20 minutes total around the neighborhood. However my odometer is now reading 39 miles up from 4 miles when I took it out of the box.

So my question is did I do something wrong or is the stock odometer really off by that much?

It's not uncommon for the readout on these Chinese Bikes to reflect " MPH" as far as speedometer , but it records "KH" or " kilometers" traveled rather than miles traveled in the odometer field, which is most likely why it shows a high reading .

My Vader was the same way out of the box .

That would still be like 24 miles which there's no way I ever did by going around the block a few times.

I don't think any of the stock speedometers are accurate. I know the one that came on my Hawk was about 6-7 mph off and odometer wasn't even close to miles or kilometers. lol Replace it with an after market speedometer that you can calibrate. My new bike is about 9-10 mph off.

Yes the TBR7 speedometer is off. I got a phone ap that uses GPS for speed and distance and found that the speedometer is really optimistic.

go with this one from Nzbrakelathes....you can set the calibration to your front tire circumference to be 100% accurate.

This is what I did and it works good, just make sure the speedo display isn't touching the PCB or it shorts out the display

I have a spare Bross style fit the TBR7 in Virginia, the Tacho ATM won't work for the Blue Eagle he has BUT 100% confirmed fine for the TBR7 etc.

$60 plus shipping from VA if someone wants a deal n faster shipping from within the USA.

For the digital Speedometers you can install a SpeedoDRD to calibrate the speedometer. I lucked out when I went to place my order a 10% off coupon popped up and got mine for $63. My speedometer on my Venom X22R is about 8.5% off. https://www.ebay.com/itm/SpeedoDRD-U...72.m2749.l2649
