Lake Pleasant to Crown King

It’s been a hot summer as usual. This day was at about 100f. This trail is a good challenge for me and the Hawk! Steep slippery climbs and a little tough if you loose traction. Picking a good line is the key. I lost traction and decided to turn around. There was Razors everywhere. It was like a Razor highway. The Ranger was stopping Razors and checking for OHV tags and maybe street legal plates. I’ve done this trail in a Jeep Wrangler and Polaris 4x4 sportsman quad. It can be an all day ride with lunch at Crown King which sits on top of the mountain in the Pomderosa pines. Stock gearing would be better for this trail.

Looks like it was a fun ride. I know what you mean about the Razars. Every time we go riding they are everywhere. Only difference is they are usually in the mud pits and not so much on the trails.

Your videos almost make me want to stay in Arizona, but then I look at my paychecks which barely pay my bills, let alone purchase a Hawk, lol.

That's the kind of riding the Hawk was truly meant for!

Sounds like you were riding the Senator Highway.

I think it is Senator Highway. I did that run a few years ago in a Jeep wrangler. The group I lead we started at lake Pleasant and went all the way up to Prescott National Forest and camped out with cookouts and parties. The next day we took the highway home. fun trip!
