LS2 STROBE Helmet Review
I have been looking for about 4 or so months for a better helmet.
I don't mind spending SOME good money on a helmet, but due to the past good cheap ones I have owned, I did not see any reason in spending over $300 for a helmet. I had $250 set aside in my budget for a new head egg. THEN, I had this pop up on one of my You Tube subscriptions, and it just looked like too good a deal to pass up. Now, a BIG problem I have with many helmets I have tried on is with my prescription eyeglasses. Most helmets tent to shove the arms of my glasses into my temple, OR, or, they push up on them, often times shoving them plumb up off my nose! :-/ The you tube review stated they are purpose built with relief grooves in them just for eyeglasses! BINGO!!!!! So I ordered one and much to my great surprise 3 days latter the big brown truck rolled up to my house with it's typical rumble & squeaking breaks, and kicked off my helmet! Fast! . The Helmet: LS2 is the brand, Strobe is the model #. My last helmet was a Large. Per the review(s) I ordered an extra large. Fit like a glove! NO problems or interference of any kind with my glasses. This is a Modular helmet, with built in flip down sunshade, for UNDER $$150!!!!! Have worn it for 2 days of riding around town ( total of about 4 hours riding time ) and my only complaint is that it is so air tight it has a tendency to fog up. Now, that being said, the temps have been in the low to mid 30's, so the front vent was closed. I will update how it does in the 50 degree weather we are supposed to have here the next few days. . The you tube review: . A GREAT place to buy it from: http://www.compacc.com/p/ls2-strobe-...odular-helmets . .

That's a nice price! It's puzzling that no helmet manufacturers (that I'm aware of) have provided reliefs for glasses until now. That has always been an issue for me.

If you need to you can just 'mash' the EPS down a little over 'hot spots' to give more clearance. Sometimes just a strong thumb will be enough, sometimes a tap with something will get it done. I've always wondered why helmets are not available with noise cancelling technology like we have in airplane headets and other consumer headphones. Shubert recently came out with something but in a so-so helmet and way too much money. I like the idea of lights on the helmet too. I have thought about attaching the flashing LED lights used on bicycles to the back of my helmets but wonder about the legality, and I have a little concern over somewhat confusing the already puzzled cagers even more.

if fogging is an issue there is an electric face shield for it.
