Trying to buy a China Bike
I joined this group back in February. At the time I was about $700 into saving money towards my purchase. I was leaning heavily towards the purchase of a HAWK 250. There were no HAWK's on Craigslist within driving distance of Lafayette, LA (I consider driving distance somewhere less than 200 miles) so I continued saving money with the idea that when I reached $1300-$1400 I would simply purchase the bike online. Most of what I read on this site had me looking at APSCUSA as the potential vendor I would deal with. Well, I'm finally at my target dollar savings amount but as I was researching my potential purchase this weekend I see the Bashan Enforcer. The nutshell of what I gleaned from what I read was that it is similar to the HAWK. It has bigger tires and greater seat height which I like because I'm a big guy (6 foot 240lbs). From everything I've seen, there is the magician and the HAWK that moto cheez has reviewed saying that the hawk fits him better and that his body size seems to be along the lines of where I am. So the HAWK wins out over the magician. But the Enforcer is even bigger which leads me to believe I would fit more comfortably on it. Also to consider is the fact that the Enforcer has the better carb and front/rear gears that most HAWK owners report upgrading. And the final consideration is that the Enforcer appears to be more "registerable" than the HAWK. I've already spoken with JerryHAWK250 who lives here in Louisiana and registering the HAWK doesn't seem to be a problem so either bike would be fine as far as that goes. So I call to APSCUSA to make my purchase and find out that the Enforcer is out of stock and won't be available until the middle/end of May. "well, what about the HAWK" I asked. Turns out that they stopped selling them because of the registerability issue mentioned earlier. So my question to you folks is this: do you have any suggestions? Wait for the Enforcer to come back into stock at APSCUSA? (I've waited a long time already. I'm kinda ready to buy my bike now). I'd consider buying the ENFORCER from another site but I can't find one besides APSCUSA. Maybe go with the HAWK? Besides APSCUSA I've been reading about the nightmares y'all have dealt with from other vendors.

If you wait for the May date from APSCUSA you might be waiting for May in 2020. They have had there storm on "3 week back order" for going on 2 years. Just a head's up!

Try killermotorsports.com. I got an atv from them about 2 years ago without any issues. https://www.killermotorsports.com/rp...dirt-bike.html

I've called every online vendor that has been suggested. The most recent one, superior power sports, I've called twice. They don't answer. No one seems to have hawks or enforcers. I've pm'd ski rush, he is selling an enforcer. I'll also take timcosby's advice and check ebay. Man I hate ebay. But that's another story. It's really hard having the money and not being able to get my hands on a bike.

I wonder if the Bashan hub-bub with the EPA a short while back has put the kybosh on all CB imports? I think we need "Inspector Culcune" on the case.........

PM Adam Rinkleff and ask him if he knows what's going on. He will know and if anyone can get you a Hawk he can.

Alan Tang can get hold of Hawks via drop-shipping from RPS, provided they have them in stock. He is not familiar with the Bashan Enforcer's distributor, however. If you want a Hawk, try Alan at Excalibur Motorsports 909-591-8800. If you want a Enforcer, I have seen them here:
https://www.superiorpowersports.com/category_s/145.htm I believe that Superior has a new owner so is apparently better to deal with than their reputation of past times.

I did. They have nothing under 450cc. Not sure I'd want a 450 dirt bike. Can you imagine doing 120 and hitting a patch of sand or gravel.
