Wow! $2800 is a little high, but not terrible. I'd really like to see one close up.

That's the retail price. I think it will be more like $2400

The American Lifan trike is a 197cc, air cooled bike. I like the 250cc, water cooled trikes in South America photographed by forum member Old Gringo.

Here are some of the photographs posted by Old Gringo.
I love the huge radiator and the shaft drive on those trikes! Spud

I didn't realize they used a shaft and differential on them, I assumed that they all used the jackshaft setup and ran the power to one wheel... Wouldn't the diff zap a lot of power off of the small engine?

That radiator would look at home in my pickup.
I doubt it goes much over 35 and is probably geared very low. I like it though. A lot! Be fun to convert into a rickshaw type thing.

Does anybody know if it has a tilt box?

Thanks for the close up shot, Spud. It appears to me that the brake cable is mounted to the spring shackle and to a drop bar off of the frame. If you look just forward of the spring shackle and up, you'll see what appears to be a saddle, and that indicates that it might actually be a tilt bed. The bed could tilt without interfering with the brake line.

I guess I don't understand, Weld. :? The brake line is connected to the brake arm, the drop bar, and the spring shackle. How could the bed tilt up without damaging the brake line? :?: Can you photoshop a circle around the saddle you mentioned? I don't see it.

Sure, Spud. I've circled saddles in two pics. In the second pick, follow the large rectangular frame from behind the steering neck to under the box. You'll see the circle that shows the saddle mounted on top. It appears that there might be a pin underneath. My guess is that there is a hinge near the tailgate, and the box pivots at that point.

Thank you, Weld! I think I now understand.
A tilt bed would certainly be a very nice feature for this trike! Spud
