Rps Hawk 250 carburetor
I want a new carb I don't want to have to take the stock carb apart to adjust.... I want a carb with the mixture screws on the outside like a normal carb... any ideas?

Thank you for your time, I will have to look for that I have done research for the past year I have had it and all I see is everyone has to Dremel a slit in the screws on the bottom of the bowl to take it off then they adjust from there... so I will definitely look for that black plug

Yes. A Mikuni VM 26. They are on e-nay for around 30 bucks. You should buy 110 and 115 main jets. Wait and see if you need a new pilot jet.

But you still have to pull it apart, just not dremel the screw slots.

My $30 VM26 is great. very easy to pull apart and you can save money on band-aids.

Well, there is no free lunch. Yes you have to drop the bowl to change the jets, but you don't have to tear the carburetor apart. Also, the Mikuni is far easier to get jets for than is a Keihan. The thread pitch is different between the two, on the jets.

Either way, the jets are the same, you change them the same way, and the mixture screw is on the outside |

I cut the slots with a fine tooth hack saw. It was a whole lot safer than the dremel.

The jets are not the same. Just as ARH said they have a different thread pitch.

I'm not using the stock carb and Mr. Muffin was asking about an aftermarket carb in his first post. The jets in the link will fit in the stock carb but not the Mikuni.

The mikuni jets are what I am using in my stock carb. The same jets everyone said to buy with the mikuni carb. I think they are the same thread (stock and mikuni carb). I do not see a link to jets but his original post was just about a mixture screw. both have it, If he wants to spend the money thats fine, he just dosent have too, the stock carb is fine.
