2007 Roketa DB-05 Sprocket suggestions

Hi,

I want to make my bike faster on the road but I am clueless in regards to what sprockets I need for my particular bike(2007 Roketa DB-05). I have read the posts on how to measure but could someone please point me to exactly what sprockets I need?

TIA,
Andy

If you take a look at the sporcket sticky it list part numbers, but the best thing to do is give Bruce a call at 330-274-0098 and order from him.

Your stock setup is probably 17/56 and you will probably want a rear sporcket in the 40-45T range.

Call Bruce. I got mine from hime. I have a Roketa DB07, had a 17 frnt and 56 r.. I went with a 46t rear. WOW!!! major change. bike is faster all around, I can get it to 70MPH now easily.. I think it would do 80 if I had the nerve to go that fast on such a light bike. It will run 60 at 1/4 to 1/3 throttle. I have a stock 109 main jet.

You might consider a 42t.. I have been thinking of going just a bit higher myself.

You will need to cut the chain to do either rear sprocket. I think I had to take 1 or 2 links out... BE CAREFULL. I used a zip cutter and had to "borrow " someone elses chain cause I took 4 links out.. I just measured it wrong.

Get you axle adjusted towards the front, then wrap the chain on and see how many links need to be taken out. If you dont want to cut it yourself, go to a shop and tell them you need a 428 chain with how many lnks. they can do it for you.

Ken

Re

Does Bruce have an email or website ????
I already have my rear sprocket off, which wasn't easy b/c one of the bolts kept slipping and the c lock was a bitch to get off, so you know I am serious about getting a new one. I have rsx 200 with 56 teeth rear spr. I want the 46 teeth. Looking forward to not red-lining at 50 mph lol....

You need to CALL Bruce at 330-274-0098.

He will call you back if you don't catch him the first time.

Could it have a 520 chain? With those sizes a 428 chain will rub on the swinging arm something fierce.

Did you order from Bruce? I don't think he would sell you something you can't use.

If you ordered a new chain also then you may be getting a complete 520 conversion setup. That would be a good thing.

Well.... I got the sprockets and the don't even fit my chain. Sad thing is I got them overnighted to me for nothing. I am not going to attempt to put them on. This is what I ordered.

Front SPROCKET JTF259.14T J

Rear SPROCKET JTR269.35T JTR269.35

I guess I need to call your friend Bruce. I apologize for the ignorance but who is Bruce?

Andy

Those should be 428 sprockets. Is it possible to return them?

Bruce owns Endless Journey Cycles in OH. Has has been selling china bikes for years and knows them well.

He will know what sprockets fit your bike and get you the right ones.

I would go with a 17T front and 40-42 rear. That will get you about the same ratio as the 14/35, but using larger sprockets.

If you want more durability and are willing to spend alittle more you can do a 520 chain conversion and get it all from Bruce.

If you can return the other sprockets post them for sale in the for sale section.
