Look what my wife found on the back edge of the property.
1970 Honda CB100. Last registered in 1973.
It has been laying in that ditch for years. Not much left. I noticed that the kickstart has snapped off.

It was under that chunk of concrete. She helped me pull it out. Talk a valentines day. :oops:

Awesome! You should totally clean it up and see what's left. If you could restore it, it would be the most epic resto on this forum so far.

This would be a major restoration. The front wheel is missing have the spokes from rust.
It would be fun to make it go again, but funding is not there. Maybe I will shove it into the back of the of my little outbuilding. It can't get much worse than it is now.

Is the frame rusted in half? I wonder if you could claim the title and transplant parts onto the frame. I was looking at spokes from Taiwan on eBay, and they're cheap as chips.

I think that I can register it since its more than 35 years old. The frame I think is fine.

There was a restored CB100 on CL in Yakima that was priced at $1,800 IIRC a week or so ago and it's sold/removed now... :wink:

I am going to bring it up to the shop tonight. Will need a tractor and the the cart.
The front wheel is beyond repair, but the forks and frame looked okay. The exhaust looks gone. I may be able to bring this back, but it will require a long time to acquire parts. Would make a nice little commuter bike.

I'm not an expert on the 100's but on the 175's pretty easy change. The exhaust is the biggest difference. Also fenders and maybe another detail or two. I believe the suspension and chassis are the same.
If not identical, if you like the look it would be easy enough to acheive inexpensively. The SL's are worth a little more on the collector's market.
