Need help modding rear brakes.

I have a 2020 bashon motomax 250 I want to bolt up a rear master cylinder line and caliper does anybody know what Japanese’s system would be usable?

I want to keep the rotor but should I look for a dirt bike system or sport bike system any one do this before?

If so what?

Thanks.

Hello there,

See in my opinion you should first, measure the mounting points and the diameter of the rotor on your Motomax. You will need this information to find compatible parts.

Given that the Motomax 250 is more akin to a dirt bike, starting with dirt bike systems might be easier. Dirt bike systems are generally more rugged and better suited for off-road conditions, which aligns with the design of your bike.

Also, Ensure that the caliper fits over the rotor without any clearance issues.
The master cylinder should be compatible with your existing brake lever or come with a new one that fits.
The brake line should be of appropriate length and routing.

Hope this will be helpful.

It is a Super Motard.

That has a counterbalanced CG230 5 speed with inverted forks. ~14hp as stock. It is a pretty nice combination.

The rear brake mounting system is an axel bracket with two bolt holes. Didn't it come with stainless steel braided line ??

Maybe the best solution would be to clean the rotor, put new pads in there and bleed the system. Those are good brakes and it will be really hard to find a compatible replacement system besides OEM stock.
