No choke = Kill switch
My Hawk idles great until I close the choke all the way then it immediately dies? Is this an adjustment issue or possibly a dirty carb?

It sounds like you are too lean. Increase pilot jet size. You can also adjust the airmix screw, but it sounds like you need a bigger jet first.

Try adjusting idle screw,just a little at a time, Thumper has a good point,maybe iean. I have a TBR7 that has to be adjusted all of the time,not a big deal. When cold has to be adjusted higher, after warm up adjust back down. Hope this helps.
