Tbr7 kickstand
Hi all. Just got my new tbr7 had to lower the suspension front and rear.
Very tall bike, and top heavy, now the kickstand is to long, allowing The bike to stand allow vertical, is there any shorter kickstands that Anyone know about that I can get. I don't want to cut or modify the Original one if possible. ( stand from another type of bike?) Thanks. |

Can you post a picture of the kick stand and give us a length. We could compare that with other bikes we own on the forum. Maybe someone with a Brozz could check the length. https://shop.brozz250.com/eshopprod_...t_Controls.htm

You could buy another kick stand for the TBR7 and modify it. https://partskit.com/product/118004

That's what i would do. But if you ever had to go back stock you have a link to the replacement kick stand.

Kicking this thread back up, I have the same issue, same bike and now lowered it sits too upright and actually blew over in the wind ( luckily on to soft grass - no damage ).
I want to purchase a second kickstand to mod, 2 questions #1 - Cut and weld, how much to remove? is there a rule of thumb for kickstand\bike lean angle ? #2 - Can I skip the cut&weld, heat the stand and bend the middle angle to increase the lean angle without cutting |

Hi king. I'm thinking that the amount that you would need to remove from the stand
Should be the same amount that you have lowered it? I wouldn't cut more that 2 inches Though. If you heat it and bend it, then when it's raised up it would stick out from the Swingarm. |

There are two ways to figure out the kickstand length. 1 is the redneck way. 2 is the nerd way.
1. With a helper, you can use some wood to simulate the kick stand in place in a down position, and trim it to length until the bike sits at a rough angle that you can live with. Do some rough guesstimation on the amount needed to cut from there. 2. use triginometry. As far as a rule of thumb for side stand lean angle... Not really. Even from the big manufacturers every bike is a bit different. Generally most bikes fall within 15 to 25 degrees of lean angle though, give or take a bit. My Hawk sit around 30 thanks to it's taller than usual hind end and stiff suspension. I wouldn't want to go any further than that if I am honest.

Hawk 250 Kickstand and Front Forks
Quote:
Mr. Megadan thanks for your advice on the front forks relative to the kickstand. I'm a bit new to the forum and am not that great with computers or motorcycles for that matter.Lol, Im trying to attach a pic but Im not sure I have permission to do that. The forks on my bike came already extended from what I can tell. It the image came across this is how they look now. Tops are flush with the triple tree. Is there another step to extend them further? If these are fully extended, Im thinking I may resort to the Trigonometry option since my wife is both pretty and can do math! One funny item. From what I've been able to observe from the various videos on Youtube, the bikes seem to ship with small differences in say the fuel cap and the forks not being extended in my case. Also, one video shows installing the starter but mine came preinstalled. Guess its must be differences in what's available at the time they are produced. |

On the SYX Moto Holeshot I just bought had the same trouble. I just heated it with a torch and bent it slightly out. It does stick out a little further from the swingarm, but not enough to be a problem.

If I'm being honest, in its current state, its not easy to find without a foot fiddle for a moment, sticking out slightly may not be a bad thing.
For $19 bucks, I might give the heat and bend a shot and then bend back and go with cut & weld. Bike is roughly 300lbs so I'm not having a heart attack about stressing the kickstand metal by heating and bending and adjusting Thanks 1Leg |

Kick stand
The easiest way to fix this is take a angle grinder and grind on the kickstand stop on the frame, letting it swing forward more allowing the bike to tilt over more

Took a good look at the stand today and bending would not be an option, it will just stick out too much.
Appreciate all of the suggestions, however I think I will buy the spare for 19 bucks and call in a favor to get it welded. I like having a stock stand to revert back to should I raise the bike back up. |
