USB (re)charging
Since, because, and while everything in today's world is USB chargeable, I finally got around to enhance my wife's Skyteam with something suitable.
And because I'm dead cheap, I went for the lowest cost I could. I got me one of these: http://www.aliexpress.com/item/T2N2-...329339749.html And one of these: http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Free-...880898054.html Converter was reduced when I bought it, and it did cost me only $5.30 (incl. shipping ) Dust caps are 10pcs in the set, but my bag had 11! Yupee!!! Anyway, I connected the converter through a fuse directly to the battery and routed the USB plugs under the handle bar (we don't want to ruin the aesthetics of my lady's bike now, do we?): Everything works for now. Plugs do not fall due to vibrations. Little but useful extra |

Good job. Did the fuse come along with the cable? Thats one of the next things I need to do also.

Nope. I got it from a local "hardware" store. It's a bit big, but I didn't bother to look for a holder for the smaller type of auto fuses.

Neat idea. I've never bought from Ali Express before; have you had any problems due to paying by credit card?

MIC, do you have an iPhone? If so, please let us know if this will charge an iPhone. Not all USB power supplies do.

None so far. After all, Yahoo is behind alibaba.com... or vice-verse.
