Jonway YY150T-12 will not crank after trying to jumpstart
I tried to jump my sons scooter and all of a sudden it stopped cranking. Right away I tried to start it off the relay and it started. I am mechanically inclined and I am stumped on this one.. I am not getting power out of the starter switch but there is a ground.
I switched the starter switch with the horn switch to see if that would help and same thing. And yes I am pressing the back brake to compete the circuit . I know some might say it is a broken wire but at this point not sure where to begin looking .. Any ideas on this and is there a way to bypass the switch. Also the kill switch is off, just wondering if there is a fast fix for this .. Again no power to the starter switch . Thanks Again This is based off a GY6 |

diode...
the starter system on a motorbike is quite different to a car etc.. the starter button is so small it can not handle the current draw form a DC system... so they run AC though the button from the rectifier...the diode stops the DC and AC current coming in contact with each other.. depending what/how you jump started it you could have burnt the diode out.. if you bridged DC & AC current... or burnt out start button.... ..
