Honda xr350r B.C.
I dont know why I needed another project but I now have a Basket Case XR350r to work on .....whenever.
I'll go thru the frame and paint then reassemble into what I hope will be a decent roller then go to town on the engine. It is going to take a very long time to get it together with the limited funds I have but hopefully next summer i'll be able to ride it. The PO had it street legal so he says but I need more than a bicycle mirror to ride the roads. |

If you have time, please post some photos, TC! This sounds like a very fun project bike.

I need some pictures of it anyway. I think about all I'll be doing real soon on it is stripping the frame down and painting it so its ready for reassembly soon. I eventually want to be able to ride it on the road but that may take more than I'm willing to do to it. |

This ad may help provide a price point. From what I understand though bikes are cheaper here than in BC.

That's in a basket all right, so I guess thta does make it a basket case.
With that said a nice rebuild kit and some work you might be good to go. The trick is to have fun on the way with the project. :P

Thanks for posting the photos, TC! For $200, I think you got a great deal on that bike.

Good score! You got the desirable aluminum skid plate with it, and they're tough to find in good condition. BTW, I believe that an '85 XR250R front end will bolt on and give you disc brakes, if you're so inclined. I scored a complete front end for Son of Weldangrind's bike for cheap.

Right now I'm just going to focus on getting the frame painted up and then I can start to reassemble the frame and go from there. Most likely will go with a vapor on it unless I can find an xl guage cluster and all the other electrical stuff for it. |
