A new Hawk is born! 🥳
Yes folks Jay is the proud new father of a bouncing baby Hawk thanks in part to all of you that helped with the funding and especially our biggest contributor Megadan!
My old '74 K20 was called into service to play the role of the Stork to bring her home. And it sits so freaking tall the tailgate lined up perfectly with semi trailer so the UPS driver didn't even have to use the lift gate. And it even sets taller than my porch which is a good 4 feet off the ground. #squarebodymafia 😎 Some interesting changes were made to the '19 model compared to my '18. Different gas tank and fuel cap (has a screw on dirtbike cap with vent tube), different side plastics, different front tire (smaller with different tread pattern), thread locker and locking nuts on almost every fastener, and I think the rear sprocket is different as well, and the chain actually has the proper amount of slack rather than Arnold Schwarzenegger tight. Still haven't got it fully assembled but we got a good start on it. Also it had very little fork oil in it and it was clear and really thick. And had even bigger spacers in the forks than my Hawk. We put 180ml of ATF in each for now.

We ran out of time today because Jay's boy Cash needed to be picked up from the bus stop, but I figure we'll have it done in 2 more days. 🙂

Lol, loved the stork theme frank. Is good shit.
But yes, HUGE shout out and thanks to everyone that helped to make this happen. Knew I wanted another baby. Just not of the pooping , needing fed variety. And now I've got'r. Thanks again everyone. Is now the time to start the "Faster than Frank" thread? Guess I'll wait till she's fully assembled. Sleeping with a smile tonight. Fully expect you to stay awake all night Frank, 357 in hand, guarding my baby. |

CONGRATS!!! Was hoping Jay would carry on the modeling concept, or maybe in the next day or so, with the bruce jenner shorts.
I bet Jay is excited, and am excited for him as well!

OR they could be trolling other sites, looking for strikes, victims, etc. I don't get it and certainly don't like thieves. too bad the triple S theory couldn't apply.

Remember.... Jay, as we told our son in his younger days "what was the cause of the accident? Hmm going too fast?" Dr. Supina of the university I attended said "its not the size of the army that counts, it is the ferocity of the fight." AND "the masses are the a$$es, but they are still the masses."

Some are more lucky than others when it comes to our partners temperament. I feel i am pretty damn lucky. Mine would make me do it in the kitchen so she can do most of it so she doesn't have to do it outside!
Congratulations on the new bike! Cant wait to see it in action and to see what mods you do to it. |

8 years ago I decided I was gonna be a success and I was gonna have it my way. It was just that simple and I should've done it sooner. I work 2 or 3 days a week and always have money in my pocket and plenty of free time to do whatever with. And yes the bike is being assembled in my kitchen that I own and paid off 6 months in advance. I also have 2 women that are friends with each other and take turns cleaning my house and performing their wifely duties. Life is whatever you want to make it, you just have to decide if you wanna be the wolf or one of the sheep. And folks will treat you accordingly.

Another interesting tidbit. The forks were set to the proper height in the triple tree in the crate and it had a metal strap screwed into the fender mounts to keep them compressed.
I apologize for bragging earlier but as Jay will attest I do lead a rather charmed life. I'm also envious of his new style gas tank. No key to open it and no chance of it not venting. I wonder how they got that past the EPA as it vents directly into the atmosphere. 🤔
