Cf Moto 450mt

CF Moto 450mt looks like a pretty badass little bike. Anyone have any news on it?

The challenge for the 400+ range adventure tour builds has always been weight, and center of gravity. That engine is mounted kind of high compared to the dual purpose and enduros Hawk, Templar, Brozz, Trailmaster TMs, Titan, CSC TTs... The engines in all of these bikes have the crankshaft much closer to the lower frame stays.

There seems to be an oil sump under the CF Moto twin that pushes it higher in the cradle. And then there are the radiators mounted up high, and the fairing,windshield gear, and a large gas tank. Add luggage and you have a top heavy bike that will take some careful riding to keep upright in the off road environment. And when it goes down, you might want some help lifting it back up!

Too bad a 400cc 2 stroke isn't in the offing. This would provide all of the power and eliminate the valves and camgear from the top of the engine, and it could be mounted lower.

All that said, this CFMoto looks like a ton of fun and it is way better than those stupid 800+ cc adventure touring bikes which are just plain road bikes masquerading as "off road capable"
I have heard of the nightmares of taking them on single track and going down, unable to pick up the bike without help.

And for the price, nothing else will be close.

as I understand, they are supposed to be here this fall. I'm interested in looking them over. Would be a good alternative to my gen 1 KLR.

I'm getting close to saving a deposit and signing a purchase plan...


I need a highway capable machine. that wont guzzel diesel like my van/s or buzz my bones out like a CG250 does...



Going to go to my local dealership to see and get a hands on feel for it.


I have searched CFmoto 450MT on aliexpress and there is already a bunch of bolt on stuff...Also a pretty big scene growing for them here in Australia already...



My only hold out now is any potential paint/color scheme potentially being offered for MY25*


Though I'm fine with the Zephyr Blue TBH.

I really thought I wanted one of these bikes. It's the hype machine that has turned me off of it. They have over-baked it and taken too long to release it. Most people who are in the market are going to pass on it and grab something like the Himalayan. I think it's going to flop, save for the YouTube reviewers and extra hype. Too heavy for the trail and "ok" on the highway, kinda misses on both. Leaning hard towards the Lifan KPX 250.

Not Sure why it has not released yet in the US.


They are more or less sold out and are on extended waiting lists in Australia and the UK.


I Trust Nathan's judgment... Anyone who has ridden a CT110 from Australia to the UK and now operates a bike riding business without major sponsors, I would consider a legitimate voice on the matter.


For me it's a perfect bike...


I've done the save on old single cylinder thumper from the scrap heap experience and got a feel for what 250cc can offer...Still have the bike, no intention of selling it.



Some people will prefer a single cylinder...But if I am buying brand new under 10k AUD new I'm going for that 270* parallel twin thank you very much...


I think the new himmy is fugly...I like the old Himmy 411 and would consider it a used market option.





If you're doing mostly single track then I agree the 450MT its not a good choice.

I've come to realize I'm a 90% road person who has to confront rural road conditions. But would like the 50% off road capability when I need it

I saw a fully decked BMW R 1250 GS in a parking lot yesterday. What a huge motorcycle. Somehow they kept it under 600 lbs before luggage. Still really heavy! And more than $20k

The big GS crowd is another demographic...


Seem to attract the folically challenged midlife crises crowd who enjoy overpriced coffee...


I've got enough back pain in my life already.


To each their own...I'm not really into the whole 2 wheeled land barge.
