Update at 850 miles

I've been on some long trips on my other bikes so haven't ridden the Tank a ton recently. I've tracked fuel mileage for 7 fill-ups so far and my average is 68.4 mpg, best so far is 72.1 mpg.

I installed some small LED visibility lights on the front fork shields. Here are some of the install pics.

Hello, I am also a new owner of a tank. Can you tell me what you're getting for max speed? I feel as though mine is a bit underpowered compared to the old falcon 200 it is replacing (they have same engine, just tank has efi)

On a flat road with the boxes mounted but no cargo I can get 53 mph. 54 if I go into a bit of a tuck to cut wind resistance.

I'm also not very pleased with that. I've been hoping that things would loosen up a bit and it would get a little faster with miles...but I just hit 1000 miles today, and no luck.

I fixed my wimpy turn signal issue. Got this set from Amazon:

I mounted the fronts in the stock location using reflector brackets that I took off of my KLX 300. To keep the wiring clean I soldered the original connectors onto the new lights.

For the rears, I again used the original mounting spots but I used butt connectors with built in heat shrink because all the wires hide behind the license plate light.

I now have white running lights (instead of red) in the front and still have red ones in the rear. Both front and back have sequential amber lights when in turn signal mode. All of the lights are much brighter than the stock ones.

I took my Tank offroad a few weeks ago. What started as smooth and wide gravel roads quickly declined to steep down hills, rock gardens, baby heads and deep ruts. I DEFINITELY shouldn't have been there on a scooter...but it was a lot of fun! If I had to go back up the hills, it would have been an issue but down was cool and I took pavement home.

The only issue was that the aft exhaust mounting bracket broke. The muffler is a big, heavy, ugly steel thing and the metal got fatigued and broke from all the bouncing. A couple of pictures are attached below.

I had a couple of options to fix this: take the muffler to somebody to weld the bracket back on...or get a new exhaust. I definitely liked the second option better!

I got on AliExpress and found this kit. It was on sale at the time so my total cost was $87 including shipping. It is way better in almost every way.

And...it actually made the scoot faster!! I got up to 58 mph the other day. Previously my high speed was 55. YMMV, but I was pleased with this.

I blame myself for the muffler breaking. I am at about 1,200 miles now and still really like the Tank. As an added bonus, my last fuel economy (before the new exhaust) was 73.4 mpg.

Looks good. Strange that they have a picture of a scooter with the stock exhaust rather than the one they're selling.



About 6000 miles on my Clash and it is indeed a little faster now compared to new. Adding a windshield helped top speed and MPG.

I put a small generic windscreen from Amazon on the Tank. Link here

I initially had it secured with the 4 screws from the tiny stock shield (green washers in the pictures) and 2 small brackets that went to the back of the instrument cluster. This worked ok to hold it but it would bounce around and flex so I was worried about metal fatigue in the instrument mount. I added two extra supports that anchor to the handlebar and now it is nice and solid...but pretty ugly

Between that and my new muffler and the engine loosening up (1200 miles so far) I was able to get up to 60 mph GPS on flat ground today

I have finally achieved the advertised speed!

Same windshield I had but a much better mount. Mine cracked at the upper holes from rough roads at high speed so I replaced it with a bigger thicker windshield. The Tank has more mounting options than the Clash with it's plastic covered handlebar.

Hello, I am new to this forum. I just purchased a Vitacci Tank 200 Deluxe and it has red running lights to the fron as part of the turn signals. They are illegal were I live so i need to disconect the wire that lights the red LED and leave the anber wire light intact. There is a brown wire a green wire and a orange wire going to the left light and a brown wire a green wire and a blue wire going to the left right light. Can I cut one of these wiers to shut off the red running lights? If so what one? Thanks in advance for any help.

Traditional colors for turn signal wires are light blue and orange with green for a ground. Brown is probably running lights. No guarantee that scooter follows the norms.

@Mudflap is exactly right. Cut and cap off the brown wires and that will take care of the red running lights. If you ever decide to replace your turn signals to get the front running lights working again in a proper color (white) then see my Post #20 above. Good luck!

Since I put the aftermarket exhaust on my Tank I've been worried that I'm running too lean. I don't have any data to support this, it just feels that way...kind of like a little 2-stroke that is getting close to a soft seize...it's hard to describe. Anyway, in an attempt to fatten the a/f mixture I got a new fuel injector from PMC Racing. It is a direct swap and they say it flows 20% more fuel. I've only ridden 5 miles with it so far but it seems "happier". Also feels a little peppier in the mid-range, but it's hard to say. I'll keep an eye on fuel economy and see how that changes. Pics attached.

As an aside, the screw that holds the injector in place was barely still there. It had loosened almost all the way and I'm sure it would have fallen out all together soon. When I installed the new injector, I put some blue Loc-Tite on the screw. I'll add this to the list of things to check whenever I have the seat bucket out.
